Please use the correct item name to prevent confusion.
The geothermal generator uses lava as a fuel source, and it shows how on IC wiki
The lava fabricator uses EU to create lava.
Please see my mod list.

Oh lol sorry for typing the name wrong
So if I attack a glassfiber cable to a geothermal generator, and attach that to the lava fabricator, then it will get power when I put lava cells in the geothermal generator.
But where does the lava fabricator put the lava? When I right-click nothing happens, so does it just spawn a lava block next to it?...

The lava fabricator will pump the lava into an adjacent BuildCraft waterproof pipe. Note that both the oil and lava fabricators use ridiculous amounts of power. The geothermal generator could never hope to power a lava fabricator.
Did you know I roleplay as a metropolice officer from Half-Life 2 whenever I have to deal with administrative problems?

And it seems redundant to use lava to produce lava....

I thought it might give more lava than it uses.. xd

It gives less, actually. If I recall, a bucket of lava is 20k EU, and a lava produced is either 20k or 50k, I forget which. You cannot create an infinite power loop this way.

That is true however using an oil fabricator there is a very complicated way to make infinite oil by means of turning it into fuel, you get more then 4 times the energy required to produce the starting oil.
