Hello Techworld! So I know you guys have been waiting until the server is up, so here is a little something to get you excited!

These are screenshots so the newly built spawn (still a WIP):

Little quip on the Sphinx, the headdress is supposed to go all the way around the back of the head.

However compared to the old spawn, it does look a bit underwhelming, and more of a settlement than a central hub of the server.

Well it is a still a WIP.

Drak does have a good point. As big as spawn was last map with all the builds, it was never really visited since we had marketplace and no longer had a need for a mall. It would be better for this spawn to be impressive, yet compact.

I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't miss the old spawn. After all, we've had it since the tekkit days...

 

But this spawn looks absolutely awesome too, guess it's time for change

IDEA! Maybe, we can make a little model of the the main square of old spawn as a memorial. Or, make ruins of the old spawn around the new spawn, mostly buried by the dunes and well... ruined. Maybe an archeological dig site around some of them. it would give this cool post-apocalyptic vibe which is somewhat appropriate considering how Gigatech died and Hypertech rose from the ashes.

 

MOAR IDEAS: Maybe make part of the old spawn ruins public access, while having the deeper sections like a dungeon area for late-game players.

Yeah, maybe actually insert a random, rough, chunk of the old spawn into a ditch of sand, then fill it back up with sand and sandstone.

This ruins idea sounds pretty cool.

I don't think there's anything left of old spawn.  They'd have to rebuild part of it (which would look badass though)\

 

I really like the idea of an excavation area, with the older structures buried in the sand
